Ringette For All – Volunteers Needed

Ottawa Ringette is running a new Ringette For All (RFA) program in January and February of 2019. This program, based on True Sport principles is for players with challenges who are unable to play on a regular Ringette team.

Central Ottawa Ringette Association (CORA) is excited to introduce the Ringette For All program, Adapted Ringette – Meeting Every Player at their Level, an all inclusive Ringette program.

This program is for players who are unable to play on any other Ringette team due to a developmental disability (cognitive or cognitive+physical). Can’t skate – no problem! Don’t know Ringette? We’ll show you!
More information on the Ringette for All program is available at https://www.ottawaringette.on.ca/rfa/

CORA is also looking for volunteers to help with these sessions:

  • Trainers (First Aid and CPR Certified).
  • Fundraising.
  • General Helpers – help were needed, greeting our families at the rink, managing the loaner gear.

Please see the CORA web site for more details.

Bernie Cockburn

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Bernie Cockburn on Jan 10. Bernie was a pioneer, mentor, role model and most of all friend to so many of us in the Ringette Community.
